Windows 7 Installation PDF Print E-mail

A new version of the installer for Essential Architecture Manager released to better-support Windows 7.

The installers for Essential Architecture Manager, covering new installations and the recent update installer*, and the Essential Integration Tab have been released to address the installation issues reported on Windows 7 platforms.

In Windows 7, the Essential Widgets were not being installed correctly into the Protege plug-ins folder, as the installer was not running in a privileged mode on this platform, requiring that users explicitly ran the installer as an administrator. The updated installers attempt to run in privileged mode and may require confirmation of this from the user when they are launched.

Any users who are experiencing installation problems on Windows 7 should first re-download the installer and try again.

*This update is for Essential Architecture Manager version 1.3.1 (or lower) installations, updating the Essential Widgets and Essential Viewer components and should be ignored for installations of Essential Architecture Manager 1.3.2 and above.
